The St. Vital Shopping Centre was a one million sq. ft. project completed in three phases over two years in 2000. It consisted of the renovation of the existing centre, the integration of new retail and food court units, the conversion of an existing grocery store into a new mall and retail units, and finally, the addition of Famous Players cinema. The distinctive metal and wood ceiling, as well as the open fireplace feature makes St. Vital an incomparable retail project. Despite being an active shopping centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, St. Vital uniquely exudes the warmth of its rich history along with the modernity of a metropolitan destination.

MMC Architects led another renovation project a few years later including the addition of two skylights bringing in natural lighting into the common areas and new furnishings which overall, garnered the 2014 ICSC Maple Leaf Silver Award.
