Square One Shopping Centre’s Centre Walk Expansion and North Expansion were the first two phases of a $320 million renovation project that completely re-invents Square One’s image and transforms it into an upscale, urban shopping destination. The Centre Walk involved a renovated and expanded food court, while the North consisted of a two-level mall infill, new public washrooms and an urban park.

As part of this overall Square One revitalization, MMC have assisted in developing plans and design guidelines to facilitate future urban development which reconciliates both the commercial and city building mandate.

MMC coordinated a Consultant team, Landscape Engineers and Civil Engineers to address the various concerns of the City of Mississauga’s Planning Department. The intensification meets the requirements of the city’s design objectives to transform the area into Mississauga’s high-density, pedestrian-friendly, urban environment.
