On October 4. 2017, two of MMC Architects' projects won Gold at the 2017 Canadian Shopping Centre Awards. Yorkdale Shopping Centre's east expansion was awarded the Gold award under the Design and Development category (Centres more than 1,000,000 sq. ft. of total retail space) while the Halifax Shopping Centre was also awarded Gold under the same category (Centres between 400,001 and 750,000 sq. ft. of total retail space).
