Halifax Shopping Centre, Atlantic Canada's premier shopping destination, has undergone a dramatic renovation with the addition of approximately 75,000 sq. ft. of new retail space, relocated food court and conversion of an office tower into retail space. Designed by MMC Architects in collaboration with GHA Design, the revitalized mall boasts of natural light, luxurious finishes, and customized amenities, welcoming premier retailers and shoppers anew. Halifax Shopping Centre now also features the largest flat glass structural skylight in Eastern Canada illuminating a grand atrium of double storey retail spaces which was previously used as an office tower. A new entrance with full height glass facade leads to the relocated food court which now sits double the capacity of the previous space and features amenities such as an open air patio and first in class washrooms including a mother’s nursing room.
