Located in the heart of Calgary’s central business district, the CORE is a prime example of an ambitious urban renewal project consisting of the redevelopment of three previously disjointed properties into a single integrated multi-use complex. It amalgamates the three buildings into one branded retail complex with a cohesive identity. Under a canopy of a point-supported glass roof, the largest of its kind in North America, visitors relish a vibrant streetscape experience awash in natural light.
The three properties comprising the CORE include, TD Square, Holt Renfrew building and the former Calgary Eaton Centre - spanning three city blocks and containing 160 retailers on four levels. The property also includes four major office towers – TD Canada Trust Tower, Home Oil Tower, Dome Tower and the historic Lancaster Building. With its connection to major commercial properties via the skywalk system and a fully integrated LRT station, the CORE is a central component to the city’s master urban plan.
